Chronicles of the Going Home Club (Kitaku-bu Katsudō Kiroku)
The new anime series “Chronicles of the Going Home Club,” based on a popular manga, was first broadcast on Nippon
Television Network (NTV) on July 4, 2013. Natsuki Ando, a high school freshman, wondered what kind of club activity she should join in school. She had decided not to join any club to avoid trouble with senior students, but then she found Kitaku-bu (The Going Home Club), a club for those who don’t join any club. The leader, Sakura Domyoji, is just a normal student, and the other members are a little eccentric. One of their main activities is “to do fun things” and their goal is to have maximum fun after school. The show features the club’s activities.
Interview with voice actress Ibuki Kido (Natsuki Ando)
TJ: Can you give us a quick background on your character Natsuki Ando?
KIDO: Natsuki is a usual girl. She is a very straight. She is a really, really common girl who cares about her hair.
TJ: Do you record your lines alone or together with other actors and actresses?
KIDO: Dubbing of Japanese anime has got to be recorded with the entire cast basically. I got along well with every co-star! I enjoyed it a lot.
TJ: What is the process for coming up with a personality for a character?
KIDO: I read the script thoroughly first and then I thought of myself as that character to get a proper image. tj
